The captain will contact you 30 min before meeting time. We will meet you at A dock ramp next to Safari Lodge. After a Safety Briefing we will board the boat and the adventure begins!

Your Captain will ask you your goals for your trip.

What time do we meet?

15 Minutes before charter starts. Parking can be difficult to find in the high season. June, July and August. Plan to park early.

Parking Lot A Parking Lot B Pay for parking at the kiosk. Give yourself extra time to park so you don’t have to rush.

What should we bring?

Warm clothes in layers. Seward is in a temperate rain forest. Expect rain and bring rain gear. This will increase the likelihood you won’t need it. Water bottle, snacks, camera. Cabin will be heated, but may be cold outside.

What if I am late?

These are private boat tours. Your charter starts at the agreed upon time. We will wait for you if you're running late. If Captain and boat are available we can extend the charter by 15 min increments. Charter ends when the boat is docked.

Is there a restroom?

Yes. There is a public restroom on shore next to our meeting place. We have portable toilet available on board.

Will there be other people on the boat? Do we offer exclusive trips?

We only offer private boat tours so therefore if you book the boat it is yours for your party of up to 6 people.

What time of day is best for the wildlife?

Anytime of day is good, we will get local information on where the action is and work from there!

Are kids welcome on board?

Kids are the future and instilling awe in them is part of why we started this business. I wanted a place for our sons to grow up experiencing Alaska. We have PFD's for all sizes and ask that you keep an eye on them and keep them safe.

How close can we get to whales and wildlife?

Our company and vessels adhere to the Alaska Humpback Whale Approach Regulations and does not intentionally approach whales within 100 feet.
